| The Punk Vault Reviews Warfrat Tales (Unabridged) |
[Nov. 30th, 2005|05:40 pm] |
MXV at The Punk Vault has reviewed Warfrat Tales (Unabridged).
Here's a sample: "The music ranges from art punk, to pop, to garage, to rockabilly, to 60s psyche, to anything in between. No two bands sound alike, yet they all fit together in some strange reason. I’m particularly fond of The Rain Parade, Gun Club, The Last, and Urinals/100 Flowers songs, but really the whole thing is a good listen from start to finish, which is pretty rare for a compilation to not have songs you end up wanting to skip while listening...It really is a great package inside and out, and is not only worth picking up because of the great music contained within, but it is worth getting to support the hard work and love that obviously went into bringing back this obscure compilation for people to remember, or hear for the first time." |

| Splendid Reviews Stereotactic's The Dawning |
[Nov. 7th, 2005|03:46 pm] |
|
Splendid's Andrew Mall takes his best shot at Stereotactic's, The Dawning. The opening salvo: "The boys of Stereotactic cheerfully wear their love for eighties and classic rock on their collective sleeve. On first listen, The Dawning sounds exactly like Thursday or Thrice with more sensitive lyrics. Then things start popping out at you: certain 'whoa whoa's are sung instead of screamed, melodic guitar riffs ripped straight from Appetite For Destruction find their way into otherwise generic melodic hardcore songs -- seriously, check out Selfishness and Envy Within -- and the band members have no problem admitting to being influenced by decidedly uncool bands such as Rush, Styx and Mötley Crüe." |

| Warfrat Tales (Unabridged) Reviewed By High Bias |
[Oct. 6th, 2005|09:28 pm] |
|
There's a review of WarfRat Tales (Unabridged) at High Bias by Michael Toland: "There's a lot of great music here (nearly 30 songs!), and if it puts the spotlight on a group of musicians and friends that made a bigger mark than they're given credit for, then WarfRat Tales is a boon...Regardless, there's enough good stuff on it to make it more than just a history lesson for Trouser Press devotees." |

| First Review of Stereotactic's "The Dawning" |
[Oct. 2nd, 2005|11:04 pm] |
|
Cool Noise checks in with the first review of Stereotactic's CD release, The Dawning. Here's a sample: "This is a band that can take Hardcore and Emo and mix the two to create something exciting and inspiring. You can feel the sweaty contortions of the audience at a live concert in this album. The Moshpit was never so inviting. But it's not just rocking the night away because they never lose their sense of the 'song' and being driven by choral melodies." |

Bakersfield Ill News has photos of Stereotactic's show last Thursday at the new-and-improved Jerry's Pizza in Bakersfield. Here's a bit of what they had to say about the show: "This was my third time seeing them in a really short period of time. I like these guys more and more everytime I see them. I'm starting to get really familiar with their set, their sound and their style. All of which I totally dig." |

| Fallopian Live Review! |
[Aug. 4th, 2005|12:08 pm] |
|
Check out this review of Fallopian live at The Warped Tour by Team Goon's Buzzweenie. Wanna a taste? "The four girls played and sang their own brand of original punk songs that included titles such as George, Beans, Potato Bug, Catapult, Fish and Fallopian. They even played their hit Sex With A Tree! The music was pure D.I.Y. punk all the way from their clothing, hairstyles, music and attitude. In addition, they stood out as one of the most different, fun, unique, and outrageous groups playing at the festival that day." |
